Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year's Day everyone-- one day late. Wednesday we'll be starting up our normal medical mayhem and it is going to be a fantastic January.

Wednesday: Novelist Ann Shorey and her question about Laudanum dosing. There's also a fabulous medical resource listed for the historical novelists in the group.

Friday: Ann Shorey guest blogs about historical medicine. Very interesting information.

I hope your holidays were fun and fabulous and time well spent with family.

Aren't we always supposed to make a few New Year's resolutions? What are yours? Is it writing that novel that's been in your head for years? Is it going to that local writer's group meeting? Submitting to an agent? Or, is it just simply starting....

I'm truly excited for this year. My debut novel, Proof, will be born in June. Really is amazing to see so many years of writing and dreaming and more writing actually coming true. For a long time I didn't think it was possible. Just goes to show you... be careful what you wish for.

What are you going to focus on this year?

  1. Since I write historicals, I'm looking forward to the answer to Ann's question and her post this week.

I hope to finish the story I'm working on now and find an agent for the one I finished last year.

Congrats on your upcoming book and Happy New Year, Jordyn!

  2. Hi Jordyn- Happy new year! I have two "goals" for this year. 1 (is kinda lame)-- I want to lose the baby weight. and 2-- I want to be intentional as a parent, writer and wife.

  3. Sandra-- those are great goals. Keep me posted on your progress. Ann's posts are going to be great.

Erin---none of those are lame goals. You are going to be successful! One step at a time.
